So after the documents were ready, we set an appointment with the lawyer.
We had the meeting at about 2.30pm and after a short discussion and signing of papers, the lawyer asked us if we f would like to come back tomorrow with the rest for the division of one of the assets. I suggested to her that it would be better if we handle this separately and that I would rather not be in the same room with the rest of the beneficiaries. The lawyer agreed and decided to give us our cheques later that day instead of the next day. So we were asked to be back there at about 4.30-5pm. We left the office slightly after 4pm. Before we walked out the door, the lawyer asked us again if we would like the rest of the beneficiaries to join us that day. Again, I firmly said no and we left.
Outside the office, the others had a brilliant idea.. They asked me why I didn’t want them to come. I simply replied, ” I despise them and I just hate to see their faces..”
So they proposed to me and suggested, ” Why don’t you just let them come today? That way, we can see if they are really after the money and be able to prove and see with our own eyes how pathetic and desperate they are.” A big grin was immediately plastered to my face. What a brilliant idea!! So I agreed. We walked back into the lawyer’s office and told them to call the rest to come down today if they wanted to. And then we left to a nearby coffeeshop to grab a bite and a hot cup of tea. Time passed by and we were chatting and slowly sipping our drinks when suddenly, someone jolted up, pointed a finger and said, “Isn’t that their car?” I turned my head to look behind and told him the plate number and a bit of description of the car that was parking at an alley not far from where we were sitting. “Yes, that’s their car!” You cannot imagine the look I had on my face. I was absolutely amazed and shocked that not because they were really here but the fact that they could reach here in less than an hour, and not forgetting that it was during office hours! A lot of questions ran through my head.. Did they take leave just to be here?? Or probably ask for early dismissal? Who knows.. The fact that they have to go home first to fetch my grandma and to come here in such a small amount of time is really amazing! If I were them, I would have just set another appointment on my free time. I really hate last minutes.
So anyway, I told them… Since they’ve got to see what they wanted to see, mission accomplished.. I asked them to call the lawyer to start without us if they’ve reached already as we’re still eating and I would want that loudmouth,M, to use the waiting as a reason to fuck us upside down again. So after finishing up our food and drinks, we headed back up to the office. It was about 5.30pm and I was kinda surprised to see the room empty. Turns out, those people came and left already. Great! I don’t have to puke.. So yeah, the lawyer told us that we’ve just missed them and that everybody was there and got their cheques and left. All of them came. My dad’s widow, my grandma, M and her husband. Seriously, I couldn’t wipe the silly grin off my face. So after settling our part, we informed the lawyer not to forget about collecting the house rent from M. And then we left.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the my dad has a house and his friend is staying there for a moment. Initially, we told the tenant that we don’t need rent and all we needed was for him to settle the house bills and payments. He agreed and so the deal was closed. More than a month passed by and we got to know from this tenant that that BUGGER, M, has been collecting monthly rent from him. So, we told the tenant not to give any money to her and that money was supposed to be passed to us so that we can settle the outstanding house payments. 3 months passed and the tenant still gave the monthly rent to her. Bloody brain-dead! When we asked M for the money, she said she used it for my grandma’s medical bills. NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL CBT, YOU *****!! She even said that she’ll discuss this with the lawyer to know what’s the right thing to do. BLOODY DUH?! To me, that’s not a good enough reason to be stealing rent behind our back. Furthermore, she has bloody 7-8 other siblings if she needed help financially and was she trying to say that they’re all useless?? That money should go to the house bills, not for her personal use!
Later on, we got a text message from M that she will be passing all the money to the lawyer soon. So we texted her back and informed her the amount and guess what? As you know, she and her freaking childish attitude, she replied back saying, ” Who are you? You’re not the lawyer.” What crap! And she also gave us another text message saying,”Why didn’t you come earlier? We could’ve settled this face to face.” Oh my god! GROW UP WOMAN!! I couldn’t be bothered to be contacting her again. A freaking waste of my time and money. And boy I must add, that was the longest meeting ever.
She did too many things that I can’t simply blog about it. I will die of exhaustion if I were to write down all the things down. Seriously, I’m really not kidding. You’ll be shocked, trust me. All her actions were uncalled for and you’ll want to punch her face. How I wish my dad was there to witness all the things and damages his sister had done.. Nevertheless, R.I.P daddy. We miss you dearly.. May God be kind and fair enough to teach her some lessons.
