Digg me

This month of May have been pretty busy for me..For the first week of May, my bf’s best friend got married and he was the best man. When he runs around, it means I run around too.. lol! That was my first ever involvement in a Chinese wedding and I love it.. I became the videographer for the day. So first thing in the morning we both had to be at the groom’s house. And then we went over to the bride’s house to fetch her. The groom’s men had to sew something, drink vinegar and stuffs, ate some bitter things and gave ang pows to the bridesmaids. My bf even had to dress up as a woman and wore some make-up before they were allowed inside the house. From there, the bride and us all proceeded to the groom’s parents’ house for a tea ceremony and we moved over to the bride’s house for another tea ceremony for the bride’s side. In the afternoon, we had some rest and continued on to a hotel a few hours later for the solemnisation ceremony and the wedding reception. We ended up pretty late that day and my energy was totally drained out that day and a few days after that. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the experience and was honoured to be a part of their big day..

The following week, I had another wedding to go to.. This time, it was a malay wedding and I was one of the photographers for that event. It was a 3-day event and I was involved for 2 of the days. It was full on on both days! Solemnisation was done in a mosque on the first day. And we had an outdoor shoot after the solemnisation. My first ever outdoor shoot and I was happy with the pictures I took.. Will try to share them when I’m done with the post-processings.. :) On the 3rd day, a wedding reception was held and we had another short outdoor shoot as it was already evening by the time the event ended.. My first ever wedding shoot was a success! At least that’s what I think.. ;P

This weekend, I have a birthday celebration coming up… It was supposed to be a short getaway to somewhere but we had a change of plans and we decided to have a large dinner. Last weekend of May, I’ll be having a job as a photographer for somebody’s engagement. So basically, my time were taken for events and the post-processings and tiredness after. Besides that, I also had a meeting with the authorities regarding my payment issue which I have mentioned earlier. Above all, later on today……… I’ll be having a face-off with my ex-employers. My court hearing will be in a few hours time and my stomach is churning already.. Wish me luck guys!! Pray for my success.. I’m really very nervous now. I really hope I’ll win this case. I’m crossing my fingers and toes now.

Signing off!
